You know you don’t need to drum up any enthusiasm to come for drum and percussion lessons at the Young Musicians’ Academy
Percussion instruments, like snare drums, tambourines and cymbals, have to come in at just the right time in a song or performance. We’ll show you how to understand the music—and a percussion instrument’s delicate role—when you come in for your lessons at the Young Musicians’ Academy.
What You Will Learn
You might think of drums or other percussion instruments as always needing to have a band around, but we’ll show you how you can play unaccompanied as well as accompanied. As a musician, it’s important to understand how your instrument of choice plays together in harmony with other instruments.
We’ll also cover the fundamentals of technique, touch and tone production for percussion instruments. You’ll end up with very strong rhythmic skills and great sight reading skills, all while you have fun playing!
How Our Percussions Lessons are Different
Drums and other percussion instruments just have a rhythm to them that calls to the beating in our hearts. After all, there’s a reason they’re called war drums, not war pianos!
The talented, experienced teachers at the Young Musicians Academy understand and share your love of percussion instruments. They will teach you with lots of enthusiasm, and come up with ways to help you learn as an individual.
They teach you how to play better while also encouraging you to have fun. Because music should always be about fun!
