Master the art of flute playing and discover a side of yourself that you didn’t know at the Young Musicians’ Academy.
What You Will Learn
If you don’t count your voice, the flute is actually the oldest known instrument in the world. There are a lot of cultures who use the flute even today, and it’s a great way for you to express yourself through music.
At the Young Musicians’ Academy, you’ll get to learn how to become very comfortable with your flute including how to stand, how to read music, finger techniques and best practices, tone and (we can’t forget!) the proper way to breathe when playing the flute.
How Our Flute Lessons are Different
While learning a new instrument can take a lot of time, patience and hard work, there’s no reason why it shouldn’t be fun. The music teachers at the Young Musicians’ Academy are professional and experienced—but do everything possible to make learning fun.
Who Is It Ideal For?
Anyone, at any age, can learn how to play an instrument. To make it easy for you to learn at your own pace, we offer the following lessons, great for beginners or advanced learners:
- The Standard of Excellence — for beginner students aged 7-12
- The Standard of Excellence & Supplementary Materials — for teenage and adult beginners
While learning how to play the flute at the Young Musicians’ Academy, why not also take vocal lessons? Singing can teach you better breathing and control, and these are skills that can help you master the flute that much faster.
