Cut commuting altogether and focus on improving your skills through online lessons at the Young Musicians’ Academy.
Music lessons over the Internet are not a new thing, but they’re just really starting to pick up in popularity. There’s a lot of amazing benefits to having Skype music lessons: avoid traffic, record your lessons and practise straight after a lesson.
What You Will Learn
Everything that’s taught in an in-person lesson can be taught in a Skype lesson, including finger positioning, scales and learning cool songs! Your teacher at the Young Musicians’ Academy (YMA) will also give you feedback each week to help you improve your playing.
How Our Skype Lessons Are Different
Teachers at the YMA understand it’s important to include fun while learning music, and our Skype lessons are no different from in-person lessons.
Who is it Ideal For?
Typically, Skype lessons are better suited for students aged 7 and above, as it is important that students be able to follow instructions. For students younger than 7 years old, we recommend that mum or dad sits in the lessons too.
What are The Benefits for You?
You will learn all the foundational elements of music such as beat and rhythm, aural and listening skills, as well as music theory and sight reading. As well as developing these fundamental skills, the benefits of Skype lessons are:
- You will save time travelling – lessons in your own home mean convenience to the max!
- You can practise immediately before and after a lesson
- You can record lessons for future reference
- You will be able to focus and concentrate without distraction
- You will never need to cancel a lesson because of a cold!
What do you need to have for your Skype lessons?
Skype or Facetime! That’s right, if you have a good Internet connection and if you’re good at listening to instructions, we can have lessons online and in real-time.
How Many Students Can Attend?
To get the most of our Skype piano lessons, we recommend a 1-on-1 approach so that we can focus on helping you improve your singing in the quickest way possible. That way, we can tweak the lesson plans to fit you, not the other way around.
How Much Does it Cost?
We understand that it’s not always possible to take as many lessons as you want. Obviously, the more you learn and practise, the quicker you can master a skillset.
Have a look at our lesson pricing page to get an idea of how our courses are tiered for maximum benefit to you.
